The World Language Department is hosting National Foreign Language Week March 3-7.
“Learning a foreign language is important and, additionally, it’s gonna be fun,” German Teacher Erin Burr-Adair said. “We’re trying to raise awareness that learning a language can be fun, and of the benefits you can get from learning a language.”
Throughout the week there will be lunchtime activities and students will have the opportunity to win prizes. On Monday, those interested may participate in karaoke. On Tuesday, students may make Mardi Gras Masks. On Wednesday, the challenge will be guessing the language in “What Language is it?” Thursday will reveal Borrowed Words, and a trivia contest will be held Friday.
