Senior Madeleine Marin placed first in the Prepared Speaking event at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) state competition in Denver Feb. 18-20.
“To have someone place first is a great accomplishment and really just encourages the rest of the club,” HOSA sponsor James Cockrell said. “This is important because it gives more recognition and spotlight to the club since it is newer, and might encourage students interested in the medical field to join.”
HOSA is dedicated to preparing students to pursue health care professions and become global leaders in health.
