National Honor Society (NHS) and the Red Cross will host a blood drive in L100 on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“National honor society is all about service, so this is a way to serve our community by helping provide really much needed blood,” NHS sponsor Sarah Keller said.
For each 50 units of blood donated, FCHS earns $500 in scholarship funds to support students.
Those interested in donating must have a valid ID, be over 110 pounds, be 16+ and have a parent or guardian’s consent, and not have donated blood in the past 56 days.
To set an appointment go to redcross.org, click donate and then scroll down to “Critical need for blood donors” and type in “FCHSNHS.” Walk-ins will also be accepted.
