Bed Races, a Homecoming tradition, will return to the east lawn at 4:30 p.m.
“It’s just meant to be a fun community thing that we pair with our barbecue so after school today we’ll have free burgers and free hotdogs,” Student Council sponsor Craig Rhoades said.
At the event, teams of five wear matching costumes and race makeshift beds through a series of obstacles.
Rhoades encourages all students to come watch and enjoy the barbecue even if they did not sign up to race.
