Plan to relieve traffic flow to go into effect today
January 21, 2020
Today, buses will begin dropping off and loading students in the McNeal parking lot. Student and staff parking in McNeal lots will remain the same but parent pick-up will move to the front of the building.
“Buses are now part of rush hour traffic,” Assistant Principal Emily Dunn said. The new system moves bus traffic to relieve the flow before and after school. The buses are now going through the light at Vermont and Timberline, where the city can detect traffic and manage the lights.
By switching the entry and exit points, the district hopes to relieve pressure from bus drivers as well as parents.
